Product Description

This specification covers the grades of stainless steel pipes used for general corrosion resistance and low or high temperature services. The pipes should be cold processed and made using seamless or welding processes. All materials should be provided under heat treatment conditions. The heat treatment procedure should include heating the material and quenching it in water or rapidly cooling it by other means. The tensile test, expansion test, water pressure test, underwater pressure test, and non-destructive electrical test should be carried out in accordance with the specified requirements.

This specification covers Stainless Steel Pipe grades with dimensions less than 1/2 to 0.050 inches. (12.7 to 1.27 millimeters), with an outer diameter and wall thickness less than 0.065 inches. As low as 0.005 inches (1.65 to 0.13 mm) for general corrosion resistance and low or high temperature conditions, as shown in Table 1.
